Support for children, young people and families

The Social Services Department is assigned to act in the best interests of the child. Children and young people need to grow up in a secure environment and under satisfactory conditions. In Sweden everyone under the age of 18 is regarded a child.

Support for parents

Being a mother or a father is sometimes difficult. We can offer support and assistance to parents.

Contact Social Servicves if a child is in need of assistance

The Social Services Department is responsible for providing support and protection for children and young people in difficult circumstanses. As a result, the Department needs to know about children how require such assistance. The Swedish Social Services Act stipulates that all adults should be in contact with the Social Services Department in thei municipality, if they consider a child beeing in need of assistance. This may be done anonymously.
